Olssens Wine Making Facility
Established in 1989, Olssens is the pioneer vineyard of Bannockburn and the Cromwell Basin. Production of Olssens wines is some 4,500 cases per annum.
For many years the wine has been made in our specialised facility in Cromwell rather than on the Felton Road vineyard. The facility crushed 250 tonnes in 2009 and works have commenced to improve the facility and extend production to 400 tonnes per annum which includes not only Olssens but wine made for several other well known labels. The re cladding of the building for improved temperature control together with new laboratory office and amenity areas will bring the winemaking facility up to best industry standards and will allow Olssens to continue to build their fine reputation for particularly Pinot Noir but also a recently award winning Riesling.
